Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
